Divorce is never easy for anyone, especially for the ones who are divorcing. Then you have kids who often suffer very much, because they cannot deal with the fact that their parents will never get together again.
But then we forget other members of the family- pets. No one thinks about their feelings or even worse- their life.
Unfortunately some statistics show that a lot of pets are left homeless after their owners split.
Agencies that take care of abandoned animals say that a lot of dogs and cats are abandoned because they are coming from broken homes.
Shelter owners are usually very sad once they hear the story behind a pet. They do understand that maybe their owners don’t have enough money to support themselves and their pets, but that still doesn’t mean that they should leave them like they are an object, not a living being.
Pets are our friends and part of a family, and many people don’t understand but most of our furry friends actually sense when something is wrong.
So when two people break up or when something else happens that is bad, they feel it and become very stressed, because they can sense that negativity.
You cannot just give up from your pet. Former owners don’t know how hard and expensive it is to find a new home for their former pets.
First those people from shelters usually want to be 100 percent sure that someone really wants that abandoned animal, so it is really difficult to find the right person for an animal, because they don’t want to put the dog/cat in the same situation again.
